From the official Village of Barrington email on Friday, July 28: "Main Street is being paved today! Final completion work on Saturday and Sunday will have the street back open no later than 6:00 AM Monday morning 7/31. Please note that sidewalk restoration between Spring Street and Wool Street along Main Street will take place this weekend and may need additional curing time over the beginning of next week. Pedestrians may wish to consider alternate routes. The Village greatly appreciates your understanding during this closure. A small portion of the North Commuter Lot and Wool Street (Station Street to Klingenburg Road) will remain closed. This area is fenced and will be utilized for construction staging for at least the next few months.

Over the course of next week, the Contractor will continue utility installations on Wool Street, followed by water main installation along North Avenue. The Contractor will continue to focus on this water main installation, followed by restoration, pavement and landscaping on North Avenue for the next few weeks. During this time, single-block sections of North Avenue will be closed to thru-traffic, but the Contractor will do his best to maintain driveway access during the day, and there will be full access to driveways each night. Overnight parking is still allowed in this area.

Any updates to closure timelines and impending closure movements will be provided. All work is weather dependent and the timeline and progression may be altered as necessary.
