Yesterday & Today: Life in the Barrington Area

Do You Remember the Langendorf Park Zoo?

Do you remember the Langendorf Park Zoo?  The Langendorf Park (formerly North Park) zoo has been gone for about 25 years. The site is now part of a restoration effort to bring back native wetlands and prairie.  The zoo had a main enclosure with farm animals like donkeys and sheep plus a deer at one time.  The other part housed various birds like pheasants and turkeys. Barrington, IL, 1983.  Photo taken by and courtesy of Tom Burke.  Thank you Tom!
