About the Book:
Popular with both teens and adults, The Hunger Games tells the story of Katniss, a sixteen year old girl living in a dystopian North America. The Hunger Games are a yearly event pitting two teenagers from each of twelve poor districts against each other in a fight to the death. Katniss' sister has been chosen to compete in the games. In a frantic bid to save her sister's life, Katniss volunteers for the games in her place, sparking a rebellion to overthrow the government.
