Using the Laminator
- Place laminator on a flat, safe, and stable surface.
- Ensure that there is enough space (20 inches) behind the machine for items to pass through freely.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 120V power outlet.
- On the front of the machine, flip the power switch in the direction of the laminating pouch thickness: left (3mil) or right (5mil).
- Note: 3mil setting is suitable for laminating standard printing paper or lighter items. 5mil is suitable for photos, business cards, and thicker items.
- The red Power light will turn on and the green Ready light will flash, indicating that the machine is heating up. The red Power light will turn on when the machine is on, and will turn off when the machine is off.
- Wait until the green Ready light is on (not flashing), indicating that the laminator has reached the sufficient temperature for use.
- Place the document inside of the appropriate sized pouch. Ensure the document is centered and touches the sealed edge of the pouch. If your item is smaller than the pouch, do not trim the pouch until after it has gone through the laminator, as it may become jammed inside the laminator.
- Feed the sealed or closed edge of the laminating pouch into the laminator inlet first. Hold the laminating pouch until the machine moves it forward.
- The laminated item will automatically exit from the laminator outlet.
- CAUTION: Do not pull the laminating pouch through the laminator. If the laminating pouch is jammed or does not feed correctly, press the ABS button on the back of the machine, and then pull the laminating pouch out of the laminator.
- When the laminating pouch stops moving, remove it and allow it to cool on a flat surface. Thicker items may require laminating twice to completely seal the edges.
- After laminating is complete, turn off the power switch on the front of the machine and unplug the machine.
