Another referendum was held on April 21, 1925, and it passed by a vote of 341 to 285. The Barrington Woman's Club organized a parade that night, "carrying flares, ringing bells, and sounding horns and tin pans." After ten years of hard work and dedication, the Barrington Woman's Club succeeded in making the public library a reality in Barrington.
