New to Summer Reading? Here's how it works:
Log your summer reading and other fun activities from your computer, tablet, or mobile device. You do not need a Barrington Area Library card to sign up!
1. Create an account at balibrary.org/summer.
2. Sign up for 2026 Summer Reading.
3. Add to your log. Earn points and badges by logging your reading, reviewing, and activities. There are different levels and activities depending on your age group.
4. Claim your prizes. Visit BALibrary to collect your badges and prizes!
Everyone who participates gets a Library lanyard and Summer Reading badges!

Our 2025 Book of the Summer is Magnolia Wu Unfolds It All by Chanel Miller. Join Magnolia and her friend Iris, self-proclaimed sock detectives, on a summer hunt that takes them across New York City in this illustrated family read-aloud! Look for copies at the special Book of the Summer display in Youth Services.
