Egon R. Jaeggin

Egon Richard Jaeggin was born on April 21, 1935, in Basel, Switzerland to August and Ottilia Jaeggin.

He served in both the U.S. Army and the Swiss Army, and was a member of the VFW in Barrington.

Mr. Jaeggin was a newly graduated Tool & Die Maker when he immigrated to the U.S. in 1957. In 1971, he founded Numerical Precision, Inc., a manufacturer of numerous machined components used in orbiting satellites, space-based systems, aerospace navigation, defense and homeland security. He proudly ran NPI as President until a few years prior to his demise.

He married Magdalena Steiger on May 14, 1958 in Chicago; together they raised a son and daughter.

Veteran Jaeggin passed away on September 22, 2021, and rests in Evergreen Cemetery.
