Michael Joseph Dalton III was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 11, 1945 to Michael J. and Ruth Anderson Dalton.

 

Dalton graduated from Barrington High School in 1961, and proceeded to Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. 

 

He served in the U.S. Army from January 20, 1967 to March 31, 1969 as a First Lieutenant.

 

Dalton taught at Utah State and George Washington University. He was an environmentalist, specializing in recreation and tourism, and was employed by the U.S. Marine Corps in Washington, D.C. in the field of recreation at the time of his death.

 

He married Coleen D. Flannery in Alexandria, Virginia on August 29, 1985.

 

First Lieutenant Michael Dalton died suddenly and tragically in Arlington, Virginia, on September 25, 1988, and is buried with his parents in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
