Douglas E. Drover was born in Barrington on September 25, 1942, to Bennett and Evelyn Drauden Drover.

 

After graduating from Barrington High School in 1960, Drover served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Airman First Class.

 

Drover was a lifelong Barrington resident, and an Insurance Salesman by profession. He served on the Board of Directors for the Ecker Center for Mental Health.

 

A1C Douglas Drover died September 18, 1991, in Lake Barrington Shores, and is buried with his parents at Evergreen Cemetery.
