David Eric Pals was born Sept. 6, 1949, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Eric and Ruth Soderquist Pals. 

Pals attended Judson University before the U.S. Army called him to serve during the Vietnam War.

He married Jane A. Faulkner on August 1, 1970, in Barrington; they raised two daughters there.

Pals made his career in commercial real estate, becoming Senior Vice President of Grubb & Ellis’ Industrial Services Group.

He was an avid volunteer for Walk On Equine Assisted Activities for the disabled. His hobbies included reading, riding Friesian horses, and driving his convertible thru Barrington Hills.

David Pals passed away October 23, 2011, in Barrington, and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
