Leon Peter Miller was born April 27, 1917 in Chicago to Peter and Mary Pakellarakic Miller.
Miller entered the U.S. Army on January 24, 1944 and was assigned to the 4025 Signal Service Group, which focused on signal operations and communications support for the 14th Armored Division. He was honorably discharged on March 16, 1946 as a Sergeant.
Miller married Joanne M. Sersen about 1965; they had three children.
He was an attorney for the American Mutual Insurance Alliance for 25 years and a member of the American Bar Association. He also belonged to the Triluminar Masonic Lodge #7676 of Chicago.
SGT Leon Miller died August 6, 1972 in Chicago and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
