Floyd Ernest Lohman was born August 1, 1917 in Lake Zurich, to Ernest and Catherine Bauer Lohman.
On November 27, 1946, he married Helen Berghorn in Barrington; they raised three children. (Floyd’s twin, Lloyd, was earlier married to Helen’s sister, Marie.)
Lohman served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from October 8, 1942 to December 26, 1945. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant.
He was a member of Lake Zurich American Legion Post 964 and the Lake Zurich VFW Post.
Staff Sergeant Floyd Lohman died October 29, 1979 in his Barrington home, and is buried with his wife in Evergreen Cemetery.
