Robert Cecil Suggs was born September 26, 1929 in New Bern, North Carolina, to Carl and Annie Harris Suggs.
Suggs was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on September 27, 1949 for service in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged August 17, 1953 as an Airman Second Class.
His wife’s name was Rose, and they had three children.
Suggs and his family lived in the Chicago area for 20 years, where he owned and operated Robert Suggs Company, specializing in electric motor repairs. He was a professional member of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association, Inc.
He belonged to the Lounsbury Lodge #751 AF&AM and to the Jacques Cousteau Society.
Airman Second Class Robert Suggs died May 11, 1975 near Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
