SGT Warren G. Joadwine

Warren Graham Joadwine was born September 16, 1888 in Chicago, to Wallace and Margaret Dunn Joadwine.
Joadwine served in World War I as a Sergeant in Battery B, 68th Artillery CAC from April 22, 1918 to March 5, 1919. The Coast Artillery Corps (CAC) was an administrative corps responsible for coastal, harbor, and anti-aircraft defense of the United States and its possessions.
On October 26, 1921, he married Marion Moroney in Chicago; they raised two children.
Joadwine had a varied career: from jeweler’s apprentice to salesman for music, phonographs, and radios. He worked for Peoples Gas for 15 years, and was a Past Commander of Peoples Gas American Legion Post #336.
Sergeant Warren G. Joadwine died September 3, 1953 at his Palatine home, and is buried with his family in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
