Anton George Lutz, Jr. was born May 25, 1921 in Chicago, to Anton and Rosalia Vorniettog Lutz.

Lutz enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 30, 1943 for service World War II. He served in the 172nd Combat Engineer Battalion, where he earned 2 bronze battle stars, and was honorably discharged on January 4, 1946 as a Technician Fourth Class.

He married Rosemary Easterly in 1946; they raised two children.

Lutz owned and operated a service station in Fox Lake, and was a member of the Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce.

TEC4 Anton Lutz died January 20, 1969 in Waukegan, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
