Bernard Vincent Potter was born October 10, 1899 in Chicago to Frank and Teofila Wawazan Poteracki.

Potter was engaged in farming in Barrington as early as 1915.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, honorably discharged as a Private on March 26, 1943.

After the war, Potter worked for Cuba Township in the Maintenance Department of Cuba Township for many years, and was a member of American Legion Post 158.

PVT Bernard Potter died May 5, 1982 in Barrington, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
