John J. Ross was born January 24, 1904 in Iron River, Michigan.

RoSs served as a Private in the U.S. Army’s 46^th Armored Regiment, 5^th Armored Division, during World War II. He was honorably discharged on March 17, 1943.

Ross was an engineer for Barington Rest Home for 31 years.

PVT John Ross died July 6, 1970 in Elgin, and is buried at Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
