PVT Vincent J. Schiebe

Vincent Joseph Schiebe was born January 22, 1898 in Chicago to John & Maryanna Bialke Schiebe.
Schiebe served in World War I with Company B, 4th Infantry, 3rd Division as a Private, arriving in France in April, 1918. He was reported as severely wounded in late January of 1919, but did not sail home until April. He was honorably discharged on April 29, 1919.
After the war, he was employed in a number of factory labor positions, then worked for Mueller Funeral Home for many years.
On February 2, 1944, Schiebe married Emilie Seidel in Chicago; they made their home in Lake Zurich.
PVT Vincent Schiebe died April 1, 1970 in Lake Zurich, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
