SSG Andrew J. Trent

Andrew Jackson Trent was born March 9, 1918. in Pollockville, Alberta, Canada to Lawrence E. and Mary Maynard Trent. His family relocated to McHenry in 1920.
On May 10, 1941, he married Lucille DePue in Palatine; they raised two children there.
Trent worked at Knupper’s Nursery in Palatine before entering the military. During World War II, he served in the Army Port Battalion in Belgium, and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on March 20, 1946.
He was a sheet metal worker by profession, retiring from at Circle Air Heating and Air Conditioning.
Trent was a Scoutmaster, a member of Palatine Lodge 314 of the Ancient, Free, & Accepted Masons, and belonged to the Northwest Towns Sportsmen’s Club.
SSG “Jack” Trent died November 27, 1982 in Arlington Heights, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
