Ronald Gary Centers was born May 24, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, to William and Consuelo Harmon Centers.
Centers reported for duty in the U.S. Marine Corps on August 18, 1951. He was assigned to the Service Battery of the 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Division. A Service Battery is the specialized company that provides command, control, communication, and logistical support to the Marine artillery battalion. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on June 17, 1954.
On November 14, 1957, he married Barbara Jacobi in Cook County; they had two children.
Centers was employed in sales management for an office equipment firm.
SGT Ronald Centers died February 28, 1984 in North Chicago, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
