Albert James Edmonds was born February 12, 1909 in New York City to Albert G. and Elizabeth R. Edmonds.


Served in U.S. Army from October 13, 1943 to his honorable discharge as a Sergeant on October 6, 1945.


After his discharge from the military, he married Mary Catherine Foley in Chicago; they raised two children in Barrington.


Edmonds joined the Internal Revenue Service in the 1930’s, working in Washington. He and retired as Assistant Regional Commissioner of the Intelligence Unit, Fraud Squad.


He belonged to American Legion Post 158 and was a life member of the Police Association of Illinois.


SGT Albert Edmonds died October 2, 1983 in Barrington, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery with his wife and parents.
