Elmer K. Johnson was born April 23, 1926 in Chicago to Helmer and Emelia Johnson.
He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and married Ilse Schroeder after his honorable discharge.
Professionally, Johnson was a graphic artist employed in advertising.
He was a member of Barrington American Legion Post 158, and a Past Commander of the Marine Corps League Post #1.
CPL Elmer Johnson died October 14, 1982 in Elgin, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
