Raymond Andrew Reicks was born in Raeville, Nebraska on February 20, 1925, to John and Josephine Kamphouse Reicks.


On April 10, 1943, he married Phyllis Simons in Barrington where he lived out his life; Reicks and his wife raised one child there. A year after his wife’s death, he was married in Las Vegas to Mildred Robinson.


Reicks reported for World War II duty in the U.S. Army on June 14, 1943, and was honorably discharged on June 17, 1946 as a First Sergeant. 


Professionally, Reicks worked in commercial construction as a heavy equipment operator.


1SGT Raymond Reicks died January 17, 1984 in Barrington, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
