SP4 Robert J. Vallas, Jr.

Robert James Vallas, Jr. was born April 23, 1943 in Chicago, to Robert J. and Lorraine Wilmes Vallas.
Following his graduation from Maine East High School in 1961, Vallas entered the U.S. Army. He served three years, and was honorably discharged as a Specialist Fourth Class on July 30, 1964.
Vallas was married to Carolyn O’Donnell; they raised their family in Hanover Park.
Professionally, he served the communities of Palatine, Hanover Park, and Bloomingdale as a police officer.
He was a member and usher at St. Michael Episcopal Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
SP4 Robert Vallas died October 9, 1985 in Arlington Heights, and is buried in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
