Howard Percy Harnden was born June 18, 1895 in Chicago to Harvey and Ada DeVol Harnden.
Harnden served in World War I from May 27, 1918 to June 30, 1919.
On July 2, 1924, he married Edna Aileen Joiner in Polo, Illinois; they had one daughter who was raised in Barrington.
Professionally, Harden was always involved with photography, first as a professional photographer in Kansas City and Elwood, Indiana, then selling camera equipment into the 1960’s.
Veteran Howard Harnden died June 11, 1987 in Mount Prospect, and is buried with other family members in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
