Earl Martin Knutson was born December 16, 1911 in Chicago to Harold S. and Stella Mackruth Knutson.
Knutson served in World War II from March 10, 1942 until his honorable discharge as a Technical Sergeant on October 7, 1945.
He married Edna Mozal on February 23, 1945 in Chicago; they raised one child in Barrington.
Knutson made his living as an automotive mechanic.
TSGT Earl “Buddy” Knutson died February 12, 1987, and is buried with his family in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery..
