William Dean Bowden was born June 28, 1918 in Ishpeming, Michigan to George and Libbie Roberts Bowden.
He was a graduate of Northwestern University, where he was a member of Sigma Delta Phi honorary fraternity.
A U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, Bowden served from July 2, 1942 until his honorable discharge as a Lieutenant on April 12, 1946.
On July 23, 1949, he married Mary Marjorie Foster in Chicago; they raised two children.
Bowden was a partner in the Chicago public relations firm of Healy, Baker and Bowden, where he was a financial writer for magazines, and the Chicago editor for Trader’s Magazine.
LT William Bowden died July 29, 1990 in Barrington, and is buried with his wife in Evergreen Cemetery.
