SGT Joseph L. Muscarello

Joseph Louis Muscarello was born May 29, 1912 in Chicago, to Anthony and Catherine Parisi Muscararello.
Muscarello enlisted in the U.S. Army for service in World War II on April 6, 1943, and was honorably discharged on January 1, 1946 at the rank of Sergeant.
On June 9, 1947, he married Helen Glowac Sauder; they raised their children in Barrington.
Muscarello joined the Barrington police force in 1950, and retired as Police Chief in 1971. Afterward, he was a defensive driving course instructor in Carpentersville and consulted on the design of Barrington police facility on Station Street.
He was a member of Barrington VFW Post #7706 and St. Anne Catholic Church.
Sergeant Muscarello died January 19, 1990 in Hines VA Hospital and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
