SGT Raymond P. Behrens

Raymond Percy Behrens was born March 16, 1921 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to William and Hazel Olson Behrens.

Behrens was in the U.S. Army during World War II, from October 12, 1942. He served with the 130th Infantry fighting in difficult terrain in the Philippines as a Sergeant in charge of an anti-tank platoon. He was honorably discharged on December 10, 1945.

He was a lifelong Barrington resident, and a retired machinist. He was also a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ.

SGT Raymond Behrens died September 11, 1988 in Hoffman Estates, and is buried with his family in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
