Bernard Jerome Clark was born in St. Louis on July 20, 1925 to Charles and Mary Delphey Clark.
Clark joined the U.S. Marine Corps on April 25, 1942 for duty during World War II, and served in C Company of the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 6th Division in the South Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal on December 27, 1945.
On January 25, 1952, he married Helen Pahanish in Chicago; they raised three children in Barrington.
Clark was an architect and real estate developer, the Principal of Bernard J. Clark and Associates. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects.
CPL Bernard Clark died April 13, 1997 in Hoffman Estates, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
