William Harold Ferry was born December 12, 1914 in Hope, Indiana, to Rommie and Lynnie Zeigner Ferry.
Ferry served in World War II as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945.
On January 13, 1951, he married Coral Swick Ellenwood in Fort Wayne, Indiana; they raised they raised four children in Barrington.
After 42 years of service, Ferry retired from Skil Corporation as International Vice President in 1980.
He was a member of the Community Church of Barrington and the Orchid Society of Illinois.
SGT William Ferry died December 28, 1998 in Elgin, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
