Gene Stevens was born July 20, 1931 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, to Henry and Ethel Maxwell Stevens.
Stevens served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1961 on Air Force bases in New York and England.
On April 30, 1954 he married Edna Moody in Rome, New York; they raised six children in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
Airman Gene Stevens died July 15, 1991 in Illinois, and is buried with his wife in Barrington’s Evergreen Cemetery.
